It’s another year around the sun for Slavi and he once again blessed us with a birthday jam for the occasion.
Slavi started riding back in 2003 and is one of the early pioneers of Bulgarian BMX who founded the culture we are continuing to push forward now. That was when the majority of the current riders were either babies or were not yet born at all. He is the most respected rider of his time and for all those years he never stopped being an active part of the scene. There’s no better way to continue his legendary legacy than throwing a jam and getting everyone together for more good times.
We celebrated Slavi’s 37th birthday with bikes and beers — just the way it should be. We started at the local plaza, NDK, and then hit more spots around the city. The day wrapped up with a step-up session full of flips, BBQ, drinks, and a good gathering in the forest. We also held an award ceremony for the best-performing riders throughout the day.
We’re honored to support a jam organised by such a proactive rider who’s been a crucial part of the scene for over 23 years. People, take notes — organizing a local jam is the best thing you can do for your community.
